Year End TT Session at R&R Awan Besar
[ALBUM]
Towards the year end some of us have to
clear all our annual leaves but
spending our leaves without planning sometimes very boring. How about having
TT (Tea "Tarik") session and make new friends?. This is the way of
car clubs enjoying their activities. R&R Awan Besar was one of the favorite
venue for car clubs to get together as it has ample parking space with bright
spot lights, place to eat and easy access as its situated along the Kesas
Highway near the well known landmark of Bukit Jalil National Stadium. PCM
was the first club occupying the parking space from 8.00pm and followed by
Volvo Club, Citroen Club and few others from 10.00pm onwards.

TT for Perak Members at Batu
Gajah
[ALBUM]
In
conjunction with 50th Merdeka Day, We Perak members had a simple celebration
by having TT at Kafe BGee (tapak Pasar lama) Batu Gajah.
Although it was drizzling, with the present of our KL
member Shambahar, we shared a lot of stories and enjoyment about the KV
members celebrating the 50th Merdeka with convoy to Putrajaya thru the
horrible jam on Merdeka eve. [Forum]

PCM 50th Merdeka Convoy
[ALBUM]
Happy
50th Merdeka Day Malaysia... PCM celebrating this wonderful 50th
Merdeka Day with a
grand convoy from Awan Besar R&R near Bukit Jalil to
Putrajaya on Merdeka eve. Before the convoy kick-off we have got the traffic
information from Jamaliah who is already stand-by at Putrajaya very much
earlier. As the heavy jam was expected, everyone was prepared and ready to
take it as part of the fun memories of 50th Merdeka. The
convoy was flagoff around 10pm led by Chan KK, Mamat was the sweeper and
Megat206 with his 2.0lit 206 was the Marshall to control the 28 lions
squeezing thru the Kancil, Jaguar, Kenari, Kelisa, Panther in heavy jam. Great
quick decision was made by the convoy leader along the way to skip the
Putrajaya toll and detour to Dengkil way via KLIA. Another smart decision was
made to stop at the road side a few km away to Putrajaya that facing the clear
view for watching the Fireworks as the traffic were hardly move further and it
was already 11.45pm and was just the right timing for us to enjoy the
sparkling fireworks from there. Then around 1.00am we proceed to Puchong Prima
for a TT passing thru Putrajaya with bumper to bumper which was taking more
then 1 hour to reach Puchong, we have the TT there till 31at August 2007 at
3:30am. [Forum]

We are very proud to be Malaysian.

Sunday Drive to Genting
[ALBUM]
PCM
was invited by Motorsport Media to participate in the Car Club Rendezvous 2007
Leg 3 event which was held at Genting International Convention Center on
Sunday 5th August 2007. Although it was a very short notice given to us, we
decided to make it as our Sunday Drive activity. We met at BHPetrol station
just after the Gombak toll and kick-off for the challenging and
interesting roads to Genting at 10.45am. While enjoying the cool
breeze of Genting Highlands a lot of fun games and lucky draw items such as
Philips Shavers, Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres, BH Petrol goodies & Petrol
Vouchers, First Hotel accommodation, concert tickets and door gifts were given
away by the organiser. All of us were given a 20% discount voucher for buying
Goodyear tyres as one of the door gifts. At the
same time we made friends from Volvo club, Audi, 2 BMW clubs,
ThreePointStar & ItaliaAuto (Fiat & Alfa Romeo).
All of us wish to express
our gratitude to Motorsport Media for the this Sunday event. [Forum]

Klang Valley Sunday Drives.
[ALBUM]
Weather seems to be better!. It's addictive as addictive to Sepang if not
better but the good thing is that the road is not as abrasive as in Sepang
with a better view!
We begin at 0650hrs, sharp from Petronas Ampang Jaya and proceed to the first
session at Hulu Langat. Drive our heart out but with caution at the corners!!
We reach the foot of the hill at the traffic light at Hulu Langat. there was a
short turn right after the lights and immediately left, (some one said turn
LEFT, RIGHT?) lucky no one turn to the right. We stop here for the first
regrouping then proceed to the next
twisty and hilly route to Kuala Klawang, upon reaching Kuala Klawang town, we
regroup again.
While our last "sweeper" gathered the
remaining group, our leading and middle sweepers took the rest for a short
breakfast at the rest area and then we proceed to Jeram Toi which is about
10-15 minutes away. "KPC" at Jeram Toi then proceed to final route
at Seremban. We maintained our speed in town until we reach PD Toll Plaza for
final regrouping and proceed home thru NS Highway.
Our sweepers for this trip were Pumbaah, Jase, BlackDolpin, Andre, Ken and
Aegean due to the familiarity of the route. [Forum]

Dear
PCM Member,
What
people say……
Seems like PUG owners are getting quite a bit of publicity
lately. I must say though after talking (and arguing) with a few friends who
own other continental cars, people generally believe that Peugeot owners are
more enthusiastic about their cars than about the brand itself. I mean
honestly…I didn’t buy this car because of the ‘brand’ identity. I bought it
because....

Penang Sunday Drives.
[ALBUM]
At
9.00 am: Start off from Seberang Jaya Mosque, we used the BW Kulim Expressway
distance about 20km. At 10.15am we proceed to Grik and have our Teh Tarik
Session at Grik Batu 2 R&R. From Grik we proceed with the longest journey
to Kuala Kangsar ( about 94Km) and along the way, we visited the "Perak
Man" (who should be
10,000 years old if still alive) at Muzium Arkeologi Lenggong.
Due to heavy rain we have to
skip the stopover at the Tasik Raban Resort and convoy direct to Sauk and have
our lunch at Sauk New Village Ikan Bakar and Steam fresh water fish at seafood
for our non-muslim members then we had durian as dessert.
Thank you all for taking part. The rain did kacau us
a bit. If not we would have stop a few times along the Grik- Sauk stretch to
buy fruits and take a look at the Tasik Raban Resort and to let the kids run
around.

Supplier Visit & TT Session .
[ALBUM]
I'd
like to thank everyone for making the TT session on the 1st of May a 'happening'
occasion. We got to meet with so many members and their families and had a great
time brewing up a storm.
Once
again, Id like to stress that we should have these at least once a month for
those who can make it and once every three months we could have a big 'do' so
that we are assured a large gathering of members and family members. We will do our best to make you
feel proud of being a PCM member.

Kuala Kelawang Sunday Drives.
[ALBUM]
Time:
6.50am, sharp (leaving 7.00am)
Duration: 2-3 hours
We met at Petronas Ampang Jaya. The route from KL to Kuala Klawang consist of a
lot of twist and turns as well as sometimes blind corners. However, the route is
pretty quiet during the weekends, hence the reason for a Sunday run. It also
comprises of uphills as well. Its a great run as our ride are built for handling
hence we enjoy it at it's fullest. In addition, the drive is monotoneous as
compared to the Sepang track as after a few laps, we more or less able to feel
the track. Moreover, the tyre wear is of course very minimal unless you push
very hard!
As it's a Sunday run, everyone drives at their own pace and NOT A RACE!.

Sunday Drives with Inter-Club members
[ALBUM]
(PCM, MyCitroen.net, ItaliaAuto.net
and Olskool.org Clubs)
The
objective is to drive on the state road at your own pace and speed. To get to
know the un-discover place outside city center and to get to know each other cum
gathering/TT for interclub community members.
Meeting point at Ampang Jaya Petronas then maneuver in convoy thru Hulu Langat - Kuala Kelawang - Semenyih
-
Kajang - Cheras & back to KL.
We met up with the
other clubs group at Ampang Jaya
Petronas station around 7.00am. Left on time and proceeded to the first hill climb
from Taman Muda to Hulu Langat. Then, we proceeded ahead at Hulu Langat for the
twisty and winding road and another hill climb. We regroup again and proceeded
to Kuala Klawang with another route of twisty, winding and hilly climbs before
reaching K.Klawang at about 9.20 am for breakfast. After breakfast, we proceeded
to Jeram Toi for
another twisty hill climb and descent before reaching Seremban town where we
regroup again and then proceeded to PD Toll plaza for the final regroup before
saying "adieu" for the journey home. We reached home just before
lunch.
Pointers:
Ensure that your car is in perfect condition. The "revs" for the hill
climb could reach close to "the redline". Brakes are in perfect condition due to the descending.
Radiator coolants and conditions is in perfect condition as the
hill climb would raise the temperatures.
Tyres are in good condition due to the grip needed to climb the
hill and descend.
Overall it was a perfect Sunday drive and we can vouch that the thrill is MUCH
better than Sepang!!! No worries about premature wearing of tyres
